MAKING USE OF BUTTERNUT SQUASH SEEDS

I am a wee bit mean and don't waste anything. When cutting butternut squash, I save the seeds, clean and wash them thoroughly. I then toss the seeds in a little salt and spread them over a small baking tray. I toast them in the oven for 10 min at 180C/356F/Gas 4.
They are a great snack to reach to when feeling a bit peckish. I am from Iran and a dab hand at removing the skin with my teeth. My Irish husband has not mastered the art yet and he is happy to eat the seeds complete with the shells. Each to her/his own.
